Week 4: Social Media for Advocacy (01 October)

Course completion:

  1. Attend at least 3 of the 4 webinars (To be marked as present for the webinar, you must attend at least 1 hour of the 90-minute session.)
  2. Obtain 80% on course quiz 
  3. Pass one assignment from any of the four modules (you are welcome to complete additional assignments if you would like to deepen your practice). 

Dates: 8 October - 29 October 2025

Objective: To explore strategies for building inclusive practices in homes, workplaces, communities and public policy.

Week 1: Gender in My Home (8 October)
Week 2: Gender in My Work (15 October)
Week 3: Diversity and Inclusion (22 October) 
Week 4: African Feminism (29 October)

Course completion:

Objective: To equip participants with the knowledge and tools to mainstream SOGIE (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity & Expression) across governance, media, health, economic empowerment, and community development, while fostering inclusive and transformative narratives.

Week 1: Foundations: Understanding SOGIE & Intersectionality (9 October)
Week 2: Policy, Rights & Institutional Mainstreaming (06 November)
Week 3: SOGIE in Practice: Thematic Application (05 February) 
Week 4: Advocacy, Allyship & Action Planning (05 March)
